Worked on the twentyhq/twenty repository to enhance localization in the Settings area by addressing previously untranslated UI strings. Focused on the Remote and Done labels, the developer used React and TypeScript, leveraging the Lingui i18n library to wrap hardcoded text in translation macros. This approach enabled proper extraction and propagation of translations through Crowdin, aligning the interface with the project’s localization workflow. Updates included modifying UI components and adding translation entries, followed by validation in Storybook and UI tests. The work strengthened the localization pipeline, laying the foundation for easier support of additional languages and improved multilingual user experience.
June 2026: Delivered a dedicated i18n localization improvement in the Settings area for twenty, covering the Remote and Done strings. Implemented via Lingui translation macros, code changes in the UI components, and addition of translation entries to enable proper extraction and propagation through Crowdin. This fixes previously untranslated strings and aligns the UI with our localization strategy. The work includes validation in Storybook/UI tests and prepares the ground for broader locale support.
