Worked on enhancing the Prometheus-Yet-Another-CloudWatch-Exporter Helm chart within the prometheus-community/helm-charts repository, focusing on improving Kubernetes deployment flexibility. Developed a feature that allows users to configure both the service port name and target port directly through the Helm chart, reducing the need for manual customization and supporting a wider range of deployment scenarios. Utilized Helm, Kubernetes, and YAML to implement these changes, ensuring that the chart update followed semantic versioning by incrementing to version 0.46.1. This work improved the chart’s configurability and portability, enabling more predictable upgrade paths and streamlined service management for end users.
