In the facebook/fboss repository, migrated the Register class’s timestamp representation from uint32_t to time_t using C++, enhancing time data integrity and reducing risks of overflow or timing anomalies. This change established a more robust foundation for future time-based analytics. Later, addressed Python 3 compatibility in the Wiwynn/OpenBIC project by ensuring setuptools installation to satisfy distutils dependencies, stabilizing CI/CD workflows and preventing packaging failures across Python environments. Demonstrated a methodical approach to bug fixing, leveraging C++, YAML, and build automation to improve core infrastructure.
