Amruth worked on the carbon-design-system/ibm-products repository, focusing on encapsulating and refactoring the DataSpreadsheet component. Using React with JavaScript and TypeScript, Amruth replaced document-based querySelector logic with a reference-based approach, ensuring the component interacts only with its own rendered elements. This change improved both isolation and performance, reducing the risk of cross-component document context exposure and enabling safer reuse within the IBM Design System. Amruth also addressed code review feedback to enhance maintainability and readability, demonstrating attention to code quality. The work delivered a single feature, reflecting a focused and in-depth engineering effort during the month.
