2025-08 monthly summary: Focused on improving migration readiness for PDF generation by documenting the deprecation of wkhtmltopdf on PHP Runtime Generation 2 and providing migration guidance to dompdf with recommended alternatives. This work reduces future support load, accelerates customer transitions, and aligns with the project roadmap. All changes were implemented in pantheon-systems/documentation with a targeted commit.

In July 2025, core work focused on documentation quality and configuration guidance for the Cache Module in the pantheon-systems/documentation repository. Delivered release notes updating surrogate-key header limit guidance, including how to modify settings.php in local development and clarifying the default and maximum values. This aligns with project goals to reduce misconfiguration, accelerate local dev cycles, and improve cache behavior transparency. The work was driven by SITE-786 with a concrete commit to implement the update.

April 2025: Delivered WordPress 6.8.1 Release Notes & Upgrade Notice for Pantheon, informing users about the security and feature improvements and flagging bug fixes in the core and block editor. This work aligns with our platform release cadence to streamline upgrades, reduce support friction, and enhance user trust.
