Anantha Mutyala contributed to the LifeSG/react-design-system repository by enhancing the accessibility of the Navbar component. Focusing on front end development with React and TypeScript, Anantha refactored the handling of the aria-hidden attribute within the NavbarItems component to improve compliance with accessibility standards. This work aimed to ensure robust behavior across assistive technologies, supporting a more inclusive user experience. Although no major bugs were addressed during this period, the effort centered on maintainability and future-proofing the codebase. The depth of the work is reflected in the targeted improvements and clear commit history, laying groundwork for ongoing accessibility enhancements.
