In April 2025, Andre enhanced the French localization for the wavelog/wavelog repository by updating all UI translations within messages.po and refining translation strings for greater accuracy and consistency. He utilized Weblate to streamline the localization workflow, ensuring that future updates could be managed efficiently and with improved traceability. Andre’s work focused on internationalization and localization, specifically leveraging PO files to maintain translation quality and metadata integrity. These improvements increased accessibility for French-speaking users and reduced localization debt, resulting in a more maintainable codebase. The depth of the work was focused, addressing translation accuracy and process sustainability within the project.
