During December 2024, Andre Pereira contributed to the matteocrippa/firmware repository by developing a Network Nodes Information Endpoint designed to enhance node visibility and monitoring. He implemented an HTTP endpoint that delivers both JSON and HTML outputs, exposing details such as node ID, signal-to-noise ratio, last heard timestamp, user information, and location data when available. This feature was built using C++ and leveraged skills in API development, embedded systems, and JSON handling. Andre’s work centralized node status information, enabling clients and administrators to efficiently discover and monitor network nodes, thereby improving operational transparency and supporting ongoing network management efforts.
