During December 2024, Andre Pereira contributed to the matteocrippa/firmware repository by developing a Network Nodes Information Endpoint designed to enhance node visibility and monitoring. He implemented an HTTP endpoint that delivers both JSON and HTML outputs, exposing node identifiers, signal-to-noise ratios, last communication timestamps, and user-specific details such as name and hardware model, with location data included when available. This feature was built using C++ and leveraged skills in API development, embedded systems, and network programming. Andre’s work centralized node information retrieval, enabling clients and administrators to efficiently discover and monitor network node status, thereby improving operational transparency and usability.
