During March 2025, Angus Huang enhanced the HuanzhiMao/gorilla repository by integrating the ToolACE-2-8B model into the Berkeley Function Call Leaderboard. He approached this by updating Python-based handler mappings and configuring model metadata to ensure seamless evaluation and benchmarking within the leaderboard system. Angus also revised project documentation, including CHANGELOG.md and SUPPORTED_MODELS.md written in Markdown, to accurately reflect the new integration. This work expanded the leaderboard’s benchmarking coverage and enabled end-to-end evaluation of ToolACE-2-8B. The contribution demonstrated focused application of configuration, leaderboard management, and model integration skills within a well-defined, single-feature engineering scope.
