Worked on the etcd-io/etcd-operator repository to enhance the stability of TLS certificate provisioning during cluster bootstrap. Addressed a critical bug by refining certificate creation logic to support multiple providers, introducing provider-aware configuration handling, default values, and robust error paths. This approach reduced misconfigurations and improved reliability across deployments while maintaining backward compatibility with existing configurations. The work involved backend development using Go and Kubernetes, with careful attention to code quality and adherence to project standards through code review and signed-off commits. The changes minimized runtime failures and ensured a smoother bootstrap process without impacting the existing API surface.
