Anik Chand contributed to the numpy/numpy repository by developing and publishing release notes that document the removal of deprecated features in the Linalg and FFT modules. Focusing on documentation and release management, Anik used reStructuredText to clearly communicate the finalized deprecation pathway, aligning with NumPy’s broader migration strategy. This work provided downstream users with essential information to plan upgrades and adapt to upcoming changes, reducing future maintenance risks. Although the contribution was limited to a single feature over one month, the release notes established a foundation for future module cleanup and ensured that deprecation messaging met project documentation standards.
