Worked on enhancing the stability of the chromaui/chromatic-cli repository by addressing a critical bug that caused the CLI to crash during registry timeouts. Focused on improving error handling within the update-check path, the solution involved ensuring that asynchronous operations rejected with proper Error objects and adding safeguards against non-Error rejections. This technical approach, implemented in TypeScript and leveraging asynchronous programming techniques, prevented undefined errors and future crashes, resulting in a more resilient command-line tool. No new features were introduced during this period, with efforts concentrated on delivering safer, more dependable tooling that reduces production incidents and support overhead.
