Worked on improving test reliability in the linux-test-project/ltp repository, focusing on the stability of the FAN_DELETE_SELF test for overlayfs and fanotify interactions. Addressed a recurring issue where deleted files were not properly restored between test iterations, which previously led to flaky results and unreliable continuous integration outcomes. The solution involved recreating removed files and adjusting the timing of overlayfs mounts to ensure deterministic test states. All changes were implemented in C, leveraging kernel development and testing expertise. The work included thorough documentation at the commit level and collaborative code review, resulting in a stable patch accepted into the project.
