During August 2025, Antoine Augusti developed a multi-instance database log purging enhancement for the incubateur-ademe/quefairedemesobjets repository. He extended an existing shell script to iterate over both webapp and warehouse database instances, introducing per-instance feedback to improve observability and reliability of maintenance operations. Leveraging his skills in database management, DevOps, and scripting, Antoine’s solution automated log purging across multiple environments, reducing manual intervention and supporting better data retention practices. The enhancement provided clearer reporting for each database instance, contributing to more efficient storage hygiene and streamlined maintenance. This work demonstrated focused depth in automating and monitoring database operations.
