Worked on the prometheus-community/helm-charts repository to enhance the Prometheus Stackdriver Exporter deployment by upgrading the exporter to version 0.18.0 and expanding Helm chart configurability. Focused on enabling more flexible deployment scenarios, the work introduced support for additional environment variables through updates to values.yaml and deployment settings. Leveraging skills in DevOps, Kubernetes, and Helm, the developer implemented changes exclusively in YAML, allowing users to specify extra environment variables for the exporter. No bug fixes were addressed during this period, as the primary objective was to improve observability integration and deployment flexibility for users managing monitoring infrastructure with Helm.
