During February 2025, Antonio Murdaca focused on stabilizing the edge image build process for RHEL 9 within the major/images repository. He addressed a critical blocker by excluding the bootupd package from the build, ensuring that Edge-9.6 images could be assembled reliably despite incomplete support for bootupd. This targeted bug fix, implemented in Go and involving system configuration expertise, improved build reliability and provided clear traceability through a single, auditable commit. Antonio’s work enabled smoother CI feedback and future maintenance by documenting the rationale and technical changes, reflecting a thoughtful approach to maintaining robust build pipelines in complex environments.
