Worked on backend development for the github/stale-repos repository, focusing on improving the reliability of app installation authentication. Addressed a critical bug by converting the app_id to a string before invoking the login_as_app_installation function, which resolved a type mismatch issue and ensured a stable authentication flow for app installations. Utilized Python and unit testing to implement and verify the fix, maintaining code clarity with a minimal and well-documented change. This work aligned with ongoing reliability goals, reducing the risk of installation-time failures and enhancing maintainability for future development. No new features were added during this period, emphasizing targeted bug resolution.
