During April 2026, work focused on enhancing the zed-industries/zed repository by delivering a CLI feature that automatically opens projects in a development container when a .devcontainer configuration is detected. This included a user experience safeguard to prevent accidental modal dismissal and regression testing to ensure modal stability. Cross-compilation reliability was improved by aligning cargo zigbuild’s working directory with native builds, enabling launches from outside the source tree. Docker Compose integration was refined by correcting Dockerfile path resolution and project naming, preventing duplicate containers. The work demonstrated proficiency in Rust, Docker, and DevOps, with expanded test coverage and clear release documentation.
