Worked on the databricks/cli repository to enhance both team collaboration and API reliability. Expanded the eng-sandbox owner group by adding new members, streamlining ownership and cross-team workflows. Focused on robust error handling for the Sandbox API by implementing a capped retry mechanism for 503 errors, ensuring users receive clear, region-specific feedback and experience faster failure responses. Utilized Go for backend development and leveraged GitHub for code management and review. Comprehensive testing, including unit, acceptance, and manual verification, was applied to validate changes. This work improved user experience, reduced unnecessary API load, and strengthened the reliability of the CLI tool.
