Worked on the jdx/mise repository to resolve an environment variable propagation issue affecting VFOX Env Plugins within Tera templates. Addressed the problem by merging environment variables from module results into the local context, enabling seamless use of {{env.VAR}} in subsequent template blocks. Enhanced reliability by refining the environment resolution flow, ensuring that new variables are integrated without overwriting existing values. Developed comprehensive end-to-end tests to verify correct behavior across multiple environment directives. Utilized Rust and Bash for backend development and testing, focusing on maintainability and traceability to support future debugging and collaborative improvements in the templating system.
