During May 2025, Aoife enhanced the fern-api/fern repository by developing a documentation feature that introduces an SDK examples dropdown within the Fern API docs. This addition surfaces ready-to-use Python and TypeScript code snippets directly in the API specification, streamlining developer onboarding and reducing integration friction. Aoife focused on API specification and documentation using YAML, ensuring that the new dropdown provides clear, native SDK usage examples for multiple languages. The work improved the accessibility of code samples, supporting faster time-to-value for users. No bug fixes were addressed, as the month’s efforts centered on quality and usability improvements in developer documentation.
