During January 2026, Jiazzy Aoki developed a new Hive User Defined Function, to_bitmap, for the pinterest/starrocks repository. This feature enables conversion of bigint values into bitmap representations, streamlining bitmap-based analytics and improving data processing workflows within Hive.
