Contributed backend modules and stability enhancements to the SophiaMontenegro/CS4311_TRACE_Alpha_Spring2025 repository, focusing on security testing workflows. Developed and updated components such as a crawler, fuzzer, credential generator, and directory brute force tool, integrating AI/ML techniques for improved password generation. Standardized backend result locations and unified the startup process to streamline deployment and data traceability. Addressed error handling and data processing issues, including crawler stability and raw HTML management, while refining frontend filtering for better usability. Utilized Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic to implement asynchronous programming, API integration, and robust dependency management, ensuring reliable end-to-end pipeline operation and maintainability.
April 2025: Key backend deliverables and stability enhancements for SophiaMontenegro/CS4311_TRACE_Alpha_Spring2025. Delivered the Team 7 backend module suite (crawler, fuzzer, credential generator, directory brute force) and related updates; updated the credential generator to use a different LLM; standardized backend result locations across crawler, fuzzer, DBF, and AI components; implemented repository hygiene improvements (gitignore, updated requirements) and unified the startup flow (main.py updated for Team 3 integration; run.py as the single runner). Addressed stability and data-handling issues: fixed crawler error and removed raw_html print noise, stabilized the fuzzer, improved ML-based password generation, and saved HTTP responses to raw_html with minor username fixes. Frontend filtering enhancements completed. These changes collectively improve end-to-end security testing workflow, pipeline reliability, data traceability, and deployment readiness.
