Developed and delivered an automated nightly regression testing workflow for the wireapp/wire-webapp repository, focusing on early detection of regressions in critical user flows. The solution leveraged GitHub Actions to schedule and execute Playwright end-to-end tests, integrating Node.js for environment setup and dependency management. Secure handling of test data was achieved by generating environment files with 1Password secrets, while test reports were uploaded as artifacts to ensure traceability and visibility. The work emphasized CI/CD reliability and robust environment management, utilizing Shell and YAML for workflow orchestration. No major bug fixes were reported, with efforts concentrated on enhancing test automation coverage.
