Worked on the primer/octicons repository to expand the icon set by introducing CheckboxFillIcon support, adding two new SVG assets—checkbox-fill-16.svg and checkbox-fill-24.svg—to the icon library. The process involved careful SVG optimization and integration of the new icons into the existing component library, ensuring consistency with the established Octicons suite. Updated the public API snapshot to reflect these additions, maintaining stability for downstream consumers. Managed changes through disciplined version control and changeset documentation. Demonstrated skills in SVG asset management, iconography, and component library updates, focusing on enhancing UI flexibility for checkbox implementations without introducing new bugs during the release.
