During March 2025, Aritsam developed an archive creation and packaging feature for the google/copybara repository, enabling automated generation of ZIP, JAR, TAR, TAR.GZ, and TAR.XZ archives from specified files or glob patterns. This work involved designing ArchiveUtil and the archive.create method in Java, with a focus on build systems and file archiving. Aritsam ensured comprehensive test coverage and provided user-facing documentation in Markdown, supporting reproducibility and automation in Copybara workflows. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the depth of implementation and attention to documentation reflect a thorough approach to enhancing artifact packaging capabilities within the project.
