Arkadi contributed to the metabase/metabase repository by enhancing governance and observability processes for cloud operations. During April 2025, Arkadi focused on clarifying code ownership, specifically assigning responsibility for prometheus.clj to the cloud-ops team and updating the CODEOWNERS file to formalize verification of new metrics. This work, implemented in Clojure and leveraging DevOps practices, aimed to improve the reliability and usability of observability features for cloud deployments. While the scope was narrow, the changes established clearer ownership boundaries and set the foundation for more efficient cross-team collaboration, prioritizing long-term maintainability and operational readiness over immediate feature expansion or bug fixes.
