Developed a new PowerPoint (.pptx) dataset integration for the kedro-org/kedro-plugins repository, enabling Kedro pipelines to load and save .pptx files as part of broader data-format interoperability. The work involved designing and implementing the PptxDataset class using Python, with a focus on robust file handling and seamless integration into existing data engineering workflows. Comprehensive tests were written to validate both typical and edge-case read/write scenarios, and documentation was updated to guide users in leveraging the new functionality. Dependency management was addressed to support the expanded file-format capabilities, enhancing cross-format data processing within Kedro’s pipeline architecture.
