Worked on enhancing multilingual messaging input reliability in the kilocode repository, focusing on front end development with React and TypeScript. Addressed a complex bug involving IME (Input Method Editor) interactions, ensuring that pressing Enter during composition no longer sends messages prematurely. Introduced isComposing guards within keydown handlers and dropdown hooks to synchronize IME handling across message, slash, and file-mention inputs. Collaborated closely with QA and reviewers to validate scenarios for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean users, reducing edge-case regressions. These improvements led to more stable input flows, fewer accidental sends, and a measurable decrease in support tickets related to input behavior.
