In February 2025, Ahmed Mohamed developed WhatsApp Interactive Messaging and Rich Media capabilities for the azure-sdk-for-js repository, focusing on Azure Communication Services. He designed and implemented REST API endpoints and SDK features in TypeScript and JavaScript to enable interactive messages on the WhatsApp channel, including button actions, list actions, and URL actions, as well as support for reaction and sticker messages. This work streamlined WhatsApp integration for JavaScript developers, enhancing customer engagement and expanding Azure’s messaging functionality. The project demonstrated depth in API design and SDK development, addressing real-world communication needs without introducing bug fixes during the development period.
