Developed and delivered a new adapter for the DefiLlama/dimension-adapters repository, enabling daily volume and fee tracking for the Rocket perpetual futures DEX. The work focused on robust API integration and backend development using TypeScript, with an emphasis on reliable data processing. The implementation featured improved error handling, concurrency via Promise.all, and normalization of instrument responses to support multiple data formats. Time-bounded logic for candle requests and enhanced backfill capabilities were introduced, along with rate-limit resilience and fail-fast behavior to minimize data gaps. Collaboration and co-authorship ensured alignment with Rocket API requirements and improved overall data reliability.
