In December 2025, delivered a robust end-to-end Gesture Recognition System for drone control, including gesture detection/classification, training data collection, a main display UI for gesture commands, camera integration, and ROS2 packaging with Chinese UI localization. Also shipped a Drone Simulation Physics Engine and Visualization with frame rate control to enable realistic testing and performance tuning for gesture-driven control. Established reusable packaging (ROS2), Python dependencies, and a data-collection pipeline, improving readiness for deployment and model iteration. Enhancements in UI localization and code quality reduce maintenance cost and improve market readiness for Chinese-speaking operators.

November 2025: Implemented Gesture-Based Drone Control feature in OpenHUTB/nn, introducing a gesture recognition class and a drone control module to issue takeoff and land commands. Added a requirements.txt to stabilize deployment for the gesture detection stack. Performed selective code cleanup by removing unrelated IDE and site files to improve maintainability and reduce noise. This month sets the foundation for end-to-end gesture-controlled drone operations and future integration with higher-level flight routines.

September 2025 (OpenHUTB/nn) - Established foundational drone gesture-control infrastructure by creating the Drone_hand_gesture_project and adding initial documentation to enable AirSim-based control via hand gestures. This sets the stage for rapid development, testing, and onboarding of contributors focused on gesture-driven drone operations.
