Worked on the kubernetes/autoscaler repository to enhance Helm chart configurability by implementing deployment-level annotations for the recommender, updater, and admission controller components. This approach extended support beyond the previous podAnnotations-only method, allowing users to add metadata directly to Deployment resources and simplifying integration with autoscaling tools such as Goldilocks and VPA auto-discovery. The solution leveraged Helm templating and YAML to enable more flexible deployment configurations, reducing the need for post-render patches and improving automation readiness. Demonstrated skills in DevOps, Kubernetes, and Helm chart customization, focusing on cross-component integration and deployment metadata management without addressing bug fixes during this period.
