Arup Chauhan developed a centralized color contrast validation utility for the elastic/eui repository, focusing on improving accessibility across UI components. By refactoring and consolidating contrast warning logic into a shared service, Arup reduced code duplication and enhanced maintainability for both Avatar and Badge components. The solution, implemented using JavaScript and TypeScript, ensures consistent accessibility checks and lays the foundation for future extensibility and broader validation rules.
