During June 2025, Alex Zitney enhanced the recurly-js repository by standardizing preflight device data collection configuration to improve risk assessment workflows. Alex implemented a feature allowing the preflightDeviceDataCollector to accept a configuration object with an optional billingInfoId, while maintaining backward compatibility by converting boolean inputs to objects. This approach streamlined API integration and front end development using JavaScript, ensuring flexibility for future enhancements. Additionally, Alex addressed a reliability issue in the Worldpay strategy test suite by removing a restrictive test modifier, restoring full unit test coverage. The work demonstrated careful attention to maintainability and reliability within a focused development cycle.
