Worked on packaging improvements for BlastDBBuilder, focusing on accelerating workflow reliability through Bioconda distribution. Developed and delivered a new Bioconda recipe for BlastDBBuilder version 1.1.0 in the bioconda/bioconda-recipes repository, ensuring inclusion of essential license files and resolving lint issues to meet conda-build requirements. Used Python and YAML to align the source and recipe structure, adding run_exports for compatibility and maintainability. Stabilized continuous integration to guarantee reproducible builds and dependable downstream installations. This work established a maintainable baseline for future releases, demonstrating skills in Python development, bioinformatics tooling, conda recipes, and package management within collaborative open-source environments.
