Luca Meloni contributed to the osmandapp/OsmAnd-iOS repository by delivering a Sardinian localization update for the help_article_troubleshooting_maps_data_name UI string. Focusing on internationalization and localization, Luca used Weblate to integrate the new Sardinian translation, raising overall translation coverage to nearly 80 percent. The work involved updating iOS UI resources to enhance accessibility for Sardinian-speaking users and ensuring that translation changes were traceable through commit-based workflows. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, Luca’s efforts reinforced the localization pipeline, improved translation reproducibility, and supported faster release cycles, demonstrating a focused approach to multilingual user experience and workflow stability.
