During May 2025, Asfaltboy enhanced the getsentry/sentry-go repository by developing a security-focused feature that expanded the redaction of sensitive HTTP headers in application logs. By updating the Go SDK’s sensitiveHeaders map to include CSRF tokens, API keys, and session identifiers, Asfaltboy reduced the risk of sensitive data exposure and supported privacy compliance goals. The work demonstrated backend development and security expertise, with careful attention to Go code quality and maintainability. This targeted improvement strengthened the logging and auditability of sentry-go, ensuring that sensitive user information is protected during error reporting and monitoring without introducing regressions or unnecessary complexity.
