Developed and integrated Cloudflare R2 as an S3-compatible object-store backend for the NativeLink repository, expanding the platform’s storage capabilities. The work focused on enabling users to configure and utilize R2 for data storage, supporting a multi-backend strategy that reduces vendor lock-in and offers potential cost optimization. The implementation involved validating R2 API compatibility, designing a seamless configuration flow, and ensuring minimal disruption for existing users. Using Rust for backend development and cloud storage integration, the developer maintained clear commit traceability throughout the process. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on robust feature delivery and integration.
