Worked on improving the reliability of deployment workflows in the PrefectHQ/prefect repository by addressing nondeterministic behavior in the CLI’s flow discovery process. Implemented a solution that sorts discovered flows to ensure deterministic ordering, which reduces inconsistencies during flow scanning and deployment. Enhanced the robustness of this fix by adding regression tests to verify that flow order remains stable across multiple invocations. Utilized Python for backend development, leveraging asynchronous programming and testing skills to deliver a targeted bug fix. This work contributed to more predictable and reliable CLI operations, supporting business value through improved deployment consistency and developer confidence.
