Worked on the helix-editor/helix repository to improve the reliability of Language Server Protocol (LSP) integration, focusing on backend stability and error resilience. Addressed a critical issue in LSP transport by implementing a cancellation safety fix, which involved pinning notifications outside the initialization loop to prevent silent failures during server startup. This targeted bug fix, developed using Rust and asynchronous programming techniques, enhanced the robustness of editor-server startup workflows. The work resulted in fewer user-reported startup issues and contributed to a more stable LSP-based editing experience, demonstrating a strong grasp of backend development and asynchronous handling in Rust environments.
