Worked on the Financial-Times/n-syndication repository to migrate CI/CD pipelines from Heroku to AWS, establishing a more reliable and scalable deployment process. Focused on configuration management and DevOps practices, the work standardized CI workflows and executor usage while updating the dotcom-tool-kit orb to streamline automation. Introduced tag-based gating for builds, tests, and publish steps using YAML, ensuring that only version-tagged releases are built and published, which improved release control and auditability. Addressed a publish gating issue during migration by restoring correct tag-based behavior, enabling safer npm releases. The work emphasized reliability, repeatability, and reduced release risk for the project.
