Worked on the rancher/turtles repository to enhance Helm chart deployment flexibility and reliability within Kubernetes environments. Delivered dynamic namespace support by replacing hardcoded namespace values in YAML definitions with configurable Helm values, allowing charts to be reused seamlessly across different environments and reducing deployment drift. Addressed resource isolation by ensuring Helm hook jobs, such as pre-install and post-upgrade steps, are scoped to the correct namespace, improving governance and predictability during upgrades. Utilized Helm and Kubernetes extensively, focusing on YAML templating to drive configuration consistency. The work emphasized minimal, auditable changes that improved deployment safety and resource management for the project.
