During January 2026, Ates focused on strengthening the maintainership of the Ruby SDK within the modelcontextprotocol/modelcontextprotocol repository. He implemented the Ruby SDK Maintainer Addition, onboarding a new maintainer to improve governance and ensure sustainable project support.
