Developed robust multi-layer OCI artifact support for the microsoft/wassette repository, focusing on secure WebAssembly component loading and artifact validation. The work introduced enhancements to the OCI pulling mechanism, enabling extraction and validation of all artifact layers while maintaining backward compatibility with single-layer formats. Leveraging Rust and Shell, the implementation improved the reliability and security of component loading, reducing edge-case failures in production environments. Emphasis was placed on integrating security policies and metadata within the artifact flow, ensuring comprehensive handling of containerized WebAssembly components. The approach demonstrated depth in containerization, CI/CD, and security, resulting in a more resilient deployment pipeline.
September 2025 focused on delivering robust multi-layer OCI artifact support for Wassette and securing the WebAssembly component loading pipeline. The work improves artifact handling, validation, and security posture, while preserving backward compatibility with single-layer artifacts.
