Worked on the sonic-net/sonic-mgmt repository to enhance security and flexibility in test automation by implementing dynamic sourcing of IxNetwork API credentials within the snappi_api fixture. Leveraged Python, Ansible, and API integration skills to eliminate hardcoded credentials, instead retrieving them from the Ansible inventory, which aligns with existing rest_port configuration and supports centralized credential management. The approach preserved backward compatibility by defaulting to library values when credentials are absent, ensuring seamless integration with current test patterns. This work improved maintainability and testbed onboarding, while also introducing inventory-driven host lookups and scaffolding for expanded testbed support without disrupting existing workflows.
