Worked on the tamagui/tamagui repository to address cross-platform styling consistency, focusing on React Native and web environments. Tackled a compatibility issue with React Native 0.76 by enabling support for boxShadow and filter style properties in native builds, which previously were excluded. This change involved refining the core styling pipeline to ensure that web-style CSS properties render correctly across both platforms, reducing UI regressions. The solution was implemented using TypeScript and leveraged frontend development skills, particularly in React Native and web development. The approach prioritized minimal surface area changes, facilitating faster code reviews and minimizing risk for downstream components and users.
