During March 2025, Ostorlab’s developer automated release governance across five repositories, including Ostorlab/oxo and Ostorlab/agent_asteroid, by building and integrating GitHub Actions workflows for PR title validation. Using YAML and leveraging the semantic-pull-request action, they enforced conventional commit formats and enabled support for work-in-progress pull requests. This CI/CD-driven approach standardized PR types such as feature, fix, and documentation, reducing manual review and improving release traceability. The work focused on cross-repository automation rather than bug fixes, delivering depth through consistent process enforcement and improved changelog reliability, ultimately streamlining the release process and enhancing engineering productivity across the codebase.
