In Homebrew/brew, updated the default Linux temporary directory from /tmp to /var/tmp using Shell and Ruby, resolving issues with large package installations on systems where /tmp is RAM-based. In systemd/systemd, applied C programming skills to eliminate trailing whitespace in the update-done.c MESSAGE macro, ensuring precise generated content and preventing potential parsing errors. The work emphasized configuration management and system administration, prioritizing cross-platform consistency and maintainable code. No new features were added, but two targeted bug fixes improved overall system robustness and clarity.
